  • These images are about abstracting the beauty from the mundane.

    The plastic bags were photographed in a studio as they floated in the air above a fan. The movement and expansion of the bags transformed them from inert objects into something almost living.

    Photographed against a black background the bags lose context. These often harmful objects become abstract forms; beautiful studies of light, texture and form.

    This project was the precursor to my Discard project.
